Hola, I'm Cindy!
Spanish tutor, journalist, wife, mom — and a Spanish speaker who became bilingual as an adult.
I'm a Spanish tutor and journalist by profession, originally from Colombia. Spanish is my first language, and I became bilingual as an adult after moving to the United States.
I earned my Bachelor's degree in Social Communication in Colombia, a Spanish-speaking country, and went on to spend more than a decade as a reporter and news anchor in U.S. television, telling stories and informing Spanish-speaking communities.
Today, as a wife, mom, and Spanish tutor, I'm passionate about helping families make Spanish a natural part of everyday life — through conversation, play, stories, culture, and connection.
Spanish From the Heart grew from something very personal: wanting my daughter to grow up feeling completely at home in both of her languages.
